MODE OF PREPARATION FOR DRUG APPLICATION
Fill half of the tank of the disinfestation device with water. Then, pour the product in the needed quantity in a separate bowl to get a paste and add the mixture obtained in the tank, complete with water while making the device mixer work. The preparation should be used without waiting to much when appropriate conditions for application are fulfilled.
MISCIBILITY
Do not mix with leaf fertilizers, copper based products and Dicofof. Oil and oily products must be used after application of this product as they impede the contact with the leaf. As different qualities of filling material are used in products, it is recommended to make a test of mixture at a small scale before applying at larger scale.
MODE OF USE AND TIMING
FIONA is a two-way systemic fungicide, that brings the plant sap from the leaf to the root and from the root to the leaf. For this reason, it does not need to repeat the application even if strong rains appear 5-6 hours the application. However, it is important to ensure a good wetting of the plant so that the product can pass to the plant sap in a short time and in an homogeneous way.
Mildew in cucumbers and melons: Treatment must be made when plants begin to have sprouts or when the first symptoms of mildew are noticed around. The application can be repeated at an interval of 10 days. A minimum of one week must be left between the last disinfestation and the harvest.
Citrus brown rot and trunk glue disease: 3 applications must be done by year at the periods when the sprouts develop rapidly (in April, June and September).
Brown rot in citrus fruit after harvesting: Fruits must be dipped in the preparation of product for 3 minutes.
Pear fire blight: Application must begin when the first symptoms of the disease are seen around and repeated at an interval of 10 days.
Tomatoes mildew: Application should begin when brown spots of 3-5 mm of diameter are noticed under the leaves around and powdery overlay is notices. It is necessary to wet thoroughly the plants and in particular under the leaves with the product
RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT:
FIONA Crop Protection Product is a fungicide classed Group 33 according to its mechanism of action. Repeated applications of the same group of crop protection products lead to resistance development. For this reason, do not exceed the number of recommended applications of FIONA during the same season in order to avoid resistance development. In case applications need to be repeated, pay attention to use crop protection products with a different mechanism of action (apart from those of Group 33).
